If you are 18 to 65 years of age and have a current depression diagnosis, you may be eligible to participate in a research study investigating cognitive functioning, specifically attention.
Each participant will attend a 2-hour visit to Mount Saint Vincent University where they will complete questionnaires and tests of attention.
Electroencephalography (EEG) will be recorded in order to measure brain function during performance of the attention tasks. Currently, it's unclear what aspects of attention (being alert, directing one's attention, ignoring non-relevant information) are affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Results for persons with Depression will be compared to individuals with MS as well as individuals who have both MS and Depression to see if there are any differences.
You will be reimbursed for your participation in the study.
